the film

In the northern Peruvian desert, where El Niño and climate change threaten life year after year, a group of fishers must make a crucial decision: to face destiny by honoring their ancestors' traditions or succumb to despair.

Forgotten by history, a 90-year-old elder, the last master of Inca navigation, guides his heirs along the most inhospitable coast. They gather the world’s remnants and revive the great raft of their ancestors to sail with them in search of redemption. It is a journey into the heart of six protected natural paradises to recover their cultural heritage.

Andanía defies the impossible, it is a story about perseverance against adversity. An odyssey that rewrites history and encourages us to seek inspiration in sustainable practices in the face of El Niño and climate change.
